The grand prize, with a cash option of approximately $273.4 million, will now continue to grow ahead of the next drawing, scheduled for Monday, August 18. This marks the latest rollover in a series of drawings that have seen the jackpot steadily increase.
While there were no jackpot winners, several players across the country secured smaller prizes. According to Powerball officials, there were no winners for the Match 5 prize, which would have been worth $1 million, or the Match 5 + Power Play prize, worth $2 million. However, numerous tickets won smaller cash prizes by matching some of the winning numbers.
The lack of a grand prize winner has fueled anticipation for the upcoming drawing, as the jackpot now ranks among the largest of the year. Powerball drawings are held every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday at 10:59 p.m. EST.
