Warner Bros. and developer TT Games have officially announced a new video game, LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight, with a planned release in 2026. The announcement was made at Gamescom and builds upon the open-world format popularized by LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga.
The game will allow players to explore an open-world Gotham City and follow Bruce Wayne’s journey, from his early days of training to becoming a legendary hero. It will incorporate elements from various Batman media, including comics, films, television shows, and other video games, with the trailer showing nods to the Nolan-era films and the Batman: Arkham series.
A notable detail revealed during the announcement is that actor and comedian Matt Berry will voice the villain Bane. His involvement has garnered significant attention from fans online, who are eager to hear his distinctive voice in the role.
LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight is set to release on a range of platforms, including PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. It will also feature new difficulty settings and local co-op, aiming to cater to a broader range of players.
