Australian Airlines disclosed on the 12th that the privacy data of 5.7 million customers stolen by hackers has been leaked online.
In July, Qantas reported that hackers had attacked a computer system managed by a third-party organization, stealing customer privacy data stored in one of Qantas’s customer contact centers.
According to AFP, the “third party” mentioned by Qantas refers to the American software company Salesforce. Media reports stated that hackers also stole customer data from many other large multinational corporations, with victims including Disney, IKEA, Google, Toyota, and McDonald’s.
