Police Report Released in Drowning of Influencer Emilie Kiser’s Son

CHANDLER, AZ—A redacted police report has been released providing new details in the drowning death of Trigg Kiser, the 3-year-old son of social media influencer Emilie Kiser and her husband, Brady Kiser. The report, from the Chandler Police Department, sheds light on the events leading to the tragic accident in May.

According to the police report, Trigg Kiser was in the family’s backyard pool for approximately seven minutes after tripping and falling in while playing with an inflatable chair. The report states that he was unsupervised in the backyard for more than nine minutes. Brady Kiser told authorities he was tending to the couple’s newborn son, Theodore, and lost sight of Trigg for a few minutes. However, the report indicates the pool’s safety barrier had been removed to “enjoy the pool” and was not replaced.

On Wednesday, July 16, Chandler Police recommended a class 4 felony charge of child abuse against Brady Kiser. The case was submitted to the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office for review. Separately, Emilie Kiser filed a lawsuit to keep records of her son’s death from becoming public, arguing that the release of such information would violate her family’s privacy. On Friday, August 8, the Arizona Superior Court for Maricopa County ruled in her favor, allowing the redaction of two pages from the police report that contained “graphic” details of Trigg’s final moments.
