The Jonas Brothers Deliver a Nostalgic, Family-Oriented Celebration for Their Fans

The Jonas Brothers kicked off their “Jonas20: Greetings From Your Hometown Tour” on Sunday night at MetLife Stadium, offering a high-energy, nostalgic show that proved the trio understands exactly what their long-devoted audience wants. The tour, celebrating the band’s 20th anniversary, served as a multi-generational tribute to their career, complete with fan-favorite deep cuts, solo work, and surprise guest appearances.

The two-and-a-half-hour performance, which began with a sentimental film montage of the band’s career, dove deep into their extensive discography. The setlist was a comprehensive journey through their seven studio albums, with the band playing over 60 songs in medleys and full-length versions. Highlights included classics like “S.O.S.,” “Lovebug,” and “Burnin’ Up,” alongside hits from their solo projects, such as Nick’s “Jealous” and Joe’s DNCE hit “Cake By The Ocean.” The concert also featured songs from their recently released album, “Greetings From Your Hometown,” which critics have praised for its blend of signature pop charm and 70s-inspired rock.

The show was packed with emotional and unexpected moments. The band brought out several special guests, including Jesse McCartney, whom they had opened for early in their career, and the band Switchfoot. However, the most significant moment of the night for many was the reunion with Demi Lovato, their former co-star from the “Camp Rock” franchise. Lovato joined Joe Jonas on stage to perform duets of “This Is Me” and “Wouldn’t Change a Thing,” marking their first live collaboration in over a decade and sending fans into a frenzy online.

In a move that solidified the show’s theme of family and community, the concert concluded with a special performance of “When You Look Me In The Eyes” featuring their parents, younger brother Frankie, Kevin’s wife Danielle, and his two daughters. With a stage design that included a replica of the George Washington Bridge, the MetLife show was a full-circle moment, celebrating the New Jersey roots that launched the brothers’ global career.
