Premier League Dominates as Manchester United Leads Net Spend

According to data from Transfermarkt, Manchester United has emerged as the top spender in the summer 2025 transfer window, with a net expenditure of €230 million. This comes after the club’s recent acquisition of Sesko.

The Premier League dominates the top 10 list, with seven clubs featured. Arsenal follows Manchester United in second place with a net spend of €216 million, and Manchester City is in fourth with €144 million. Sunderland also makes a surprising appearance at number six, spending €111 million, while Tottenham and Liverpool also feature on the list.

The rest of the top 10 is rounded out by La Liga powerhouses Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid, as well as Saudi club Al-Qadsiah and French giants Paris Saint-Germain. The high number of Premier League teams on the list highlights the league’s significant financial power this summer.
