Father of Celtics Star Jaylen Brown Arrested on Attempted Murder Charge in Las Vegas Stabbing

The father of Boston Celtics All-Star Jaylen Brown, Quenton Marcelles Brown, has been arrested in Las Vegas on suspicion of attempted murder following a stabbing incident that reportedly stemmed from a parking dispute.

According to reports from multiple news outlets, the incident occurred at All American Park in Las Vegas. Police were called to the scene on Wednesday evening where they found a man with multiple stab wounds. The victim was transported to a local hospital and is said to be in critical condition after undergoing surgery.

The altercation reportedly began as a dispute over a “door ding” in a parking lot. Quenton Marcelles Brown, a 57-year-old former professional boxer who also goes by his middle name Marselles, allegedly confronted the victim, a youth football coach. Witnesses told police that the argument escalated, and Brown allegedly stabbed the man multiple times. After fleeing the scene, Brown was later located and taken into custody.

Jail records from Clark County Detention Center show that Brown was booked on an attempted murder charge. Neither Jaylen Brown nor the Boston Celtics have made a public statement regarding the incident. Sources close to the basketball star have indicated that he does not have a close relationship with his father and was not aware of the arrest.
