Actress Millie Bobby Brown, 21, and her husband Jake Bongiovi, 23, have become parents, announcing on Thursday that they have welcomed a baby girl into their family through adoption.
The couple shared the news in a joint post on their Instagram accounts on August 21st. Their statement read, “This summer, we welcomed our sweet baby girl through adoption. We are beyond excited to embark on this beautiful next chapter of parenthood in both peace and privacy. And then there were 3. Love, Millie and Jake Bongiovi.”
The announcement follows the couple’s private marriage in May 2024. Brown has previously been open about her desire to start a family at a young age, citing her mother who had her first child at 21. In a March appearance on the SmartLess podcast, she stated her belief that having a biological child and adopting are not different, and that she wanted to be a mother “just like the way my mom was to me.”
Brown has also discussed her plans to balance her career as an actor and producer with her personal goal of starting a family. She and Bongiovi, who is the son of musician Jon Bon Jovi, were first linked in 2021 and became engaged in April 2023.
