Ukraine Establishes Multinational Command to Deter Future Attacks

Ukraine is establishing a multinational military command

Ukrainian media reported on September 6 that Ukraine’s capital Kyiv is establishing a multinational operational command center aimed at preventing potential attacks after any peace agreement is reached between Ukraine and Russia. It is reported that the command will be led by a British major general, while the overall multinational command will be coordinated by France and Paris, and the United Kingdom and London respectively.

On the same day, Ukrainian President Zelensky stated that 26 countries are ready to take action to ensure Ukraine’s security, while also urging continued pressure on Russia.

Russian President Putin, speaking at the plenary session of the 10th Eastern Economic Forum in Vladivostok on the 5th, stated that any foreign forces appearing in Ukraine would become legitimate targets for the Russian army. Putin said that without considering Russia’s security, Ukraine’s security issues cannot be resolved.
