Renowned Voice Actors Hanazawa and Ono Announce Divorce

On September 14, renowned Japanese voice actors Kana Hanazawa and Kenjiro Tsuda announced their divorce. They revealed that due to different lifestyles and rarely seeing each other, they decided to respect each other and go their separate ways amid ongoing conflicts and misalignment.

According to reports, the two married in 2020, and as recently as April of this year, Hanazawa frequently mentioned her husband in interviews to show their affection.

Kana Hanazawa, born on February 25, 1989, in Tokyo, Japan, is a Japanese voice actress, actress, and singer. Hanazawa started her career as a child actor and officially debuted in 2003 by voicing the character Holly Madthyn in the anime “Last Exile.” She gained popularity through her portrayals of characters such as Ishigami Tsubame in “Bakemonogatari” and Tachibana Kanade in “Angel Beats!”, and debuted as a singer in 2012. In 2024, she appeared in the TV drama “Devil’s Game.”

Previously, while recording a show in Japan, Hanazawa was unable to control her smile due to the lively atmosphere. At that time, the screen was showing weather forecasts from various regions, and it happened to display “Hyogo North Rain 19°C 60%/40%” for the northern part of Hyogo Prefecture, with the words “Beautiful Voice Actress Kana Hanazawa” in the upper right corner.
