Nvidia chief executive Jensen Huang warned that China will beat the US in the artificial intelligence race, the Financial Times reported on Wednesday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cChina will win the AI race,\u201d Huang told the newspaper on the sidelines of the Financial Times\u2019s Future of AI Summit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAs I\u2019ve long said, China is nanoseconds behind the US in AI,\u201d the Nvidia CEO said in a statement posted on X late on Wednesday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cIt is critically important that the US wins by pulling ahead and winning global developers,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Huang said in October that the US could win the AI war if the world, including China\u2019s massive developer population, ran on Nvidia\u2019s system. However, he lamented that the Chinese government had shut its market out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
China’s access to advanced AI chips remains a focal point in its technological rivalry with the US, as both nations compete for dominance in cutting-edge computing and AI.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWe want the US to win this AI race,\u201d Huang stated.
\u201cWe want the world to be built on the US technology stack. Absolutely. But we also need to be in China to win their developers. A policy that causes the US to lose half the world\u2019s AI developers is not good in the long run and it is hurting us more,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
US President Donald Trump said in an interview on Sunday that Nvidia\u2019s most advanced Blackwell chips should be limited to US customers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
