Apple releases “thinnest ever” iPhone Air with just 5.6mm thickness

On September 10th, during Apple’s 2025 autumn新品发布会, the Apple iPhone Air was officially launched, available in 4 color options. The device features ultra-ceramic crystal panels on both front and back, with its core frame and other structures crafted from Grade 5 aerospace-grade titanium, measuring just 5.6mm in thickness. The front is equipped with a 6.5-inch 120Hz ProMotion display (peak brightness 3000 nits), supporting AOD 1Hz always-on display, paired with an 18MP front camera. The rear of the phone features a 48MP fusion camera (equivalent to 26mm focal length, aperture F/1.6).

The device is powered by the A19 Pro processor, featuring a second-generation dynamic cache architecture with GPU peak performance up to 3 times that of the A18 Pro. It also includes Apple-designed N1 chip, supporting Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, and Thread networking. Additionally, it incorporates Apple’s self-developed C1X modem.

The phone also introduces eSIM technology (used globally, including mainland China market). With Apple’s iOS 26, it debuts AI power-saving technology, claimed to help users “use it smoothly all day.” Even when battery is low, users can purchase the new ultra-thin MagSafe external battery (providing up to 40 hours of video playback when attached). The official also offers 2 protective cases: a transparent case and a Bumper case similar to the iPhone 4.
