Apple Watch Series 11 Rumored for September Release with New S11 Chip

According to multiple reports and industry analysts, Apple is widely expected to unveil the Apple Watch Series 11 at its annual September event. The new wearable is rumored to feature a new S11 chip and several software and hardware upgrades, with a focus on improved efficiency and new health-related functions.

The launch is anticipated to take place alongside the new iPhone 17 lineup. While a specific date has not been officially confirmed, sources from German mobile carriers suggest the event could be held on or around September 9th. Pre-orders are expected to begin the following Friday, with devices shipping a week later. The Series 11 will run on watchOS 26, which is currently in beta testing and is said to introduce new features, including a “Workout Buddy” and a “Liquid Glass” user interface.

Rumors suggest the new S11 chip, the successor to the S10, will prioritize efficiency over raw performance, potentially leading to a longer battery life. The chip’s more compact design could also free up internal space for new components or a larger battery. Furthermore, the Series 11 is rumored to include new modem technology with 5G RedCap support, which would be a significant upgrade over the current LTE connectivity. While a full design overhaul is not expected, the 2025 model may introduce an early warning system for high blood pressure, though it is not yet confirmed if this feature will be ready for launch.
